Another interesting and, uh, *fun-filled* adventure!
The first thing I wanted to mention is: I witnessed what is probably the most glamorous carriage and team of horses yet. I mean... look!
After that, Chanteuse and I went out to where I planted my garden. I dismantled the fence and transported it to right outside of Velia, that is, very close to my new house. This is a much smarter place, I think. I begun planting yellow tulips. I understand it will be quite a while before they finally bloom.
I was still in an exploration mood, but now I know that heading southeast is absolutely NOT the right place to go. So I decided to head the other way, and visit the town of Glish on purpose, but I only had a vague idea of where to look. I did eventually make it to Glish, but along the way I saw a spectactular view of a broken bridge. Someone seems to be trapped on the other side. There's probably another way across; I haven't sought it out yet.
It was pouring rain in the late evening when I finally arrived in Glish.
This town is very small and, uh, kinda strange, but I do really like the juxtaposition of the swamps with the mountains. Beautiful.
The view from the top of the tower is also very nice, especially in this light.
The Material Vendor in Glish wears this very funny outfit which mimics a Naga. Apparently I can also get my hands on this outfit, too -- not sure how useful it would be -- but I just love the concept. Her name is Kanna, she seems nice.
Now here's when stuff starts getting *very weird.* I went into the basement, underneath the town. I, uh, TOTALLY REGRET IT. There are lots of dead frog creatures (Fogans?) down there... smells weird. I've seen many dead all at once before, but there is talk of an "experiment" gone awry, and so this seems quite sinister and probably not an accident. I'm really not sure what to think of it. The door really ought to have been locked...
I decided to get out of there for the moment, to see the abandoned Glish Ruins for myself. That place is rather scary, and I should not have gone in the middle of the night. It is completely overrun with Mudsters, and a nearby area is overrun with Fogans. I'm not sure whether to trust the Nagas or the Fogans or neither or both. Kanna and the town of Glish in general seem to appreciate the Nagas, so, uh, yeah. It's complicated.
At this point, I decided I had enough, so Chanteuse and I hiked all the way back to my house. Seriously, I am super appreciative of the fact I have a house to go back to -- you don't have the slightest clue.
