I tried out a new vantage point for sunrise viewing — a spot on the east side of the UAF hill. This spot has the advantage of some height above the trees and other structures, though ultimately the LOS hits Birch Hill and other hills to the east and north-east. This morning this clouds were not perhaps the best they could have been for sunrise effects, but it was still nice colors and a pleasant experience.
Those photos were taken with the S5300 using a variety of lighting modes. I did not do any post-processing.
I also recorded some bird sounds which I heard before sunrise.
