The cargo hold

Despite the warning, you decide to check out the cargo hold anyway. A tapping noise in the cargo hold? Come on now, rats get stuck on space vessels all the time. Maybe you could even "borrow" some of the ship's supplies.

The hold's door is slighty ajar. That's strange, you think to yourself, cargo holds are usually locked up tight. Light pours into the pitch-black room while you open the door further. From your current position, you can make out some Federation-standard cargo containers in the dark. You press the light switch next to the door on the left. Nothing happens.

Then the tapping noise starts, from somewhere in the back of the room. Rhythmic tapping, in short bursts, as if a giant bug were scurrying between the cargo containers.

You decide you're no big fan of giant space bugs.
