So I finished the calculations today for how much 1000 netherite armor sets is going to cost (in Minecraft) and well, I would need to get:
That's 52000 diamonds in total by the way.
That's is a LOT of resources that I must gather.
So far, I've only got my first diamonds (I have maybe about 15 diamonds, not counting some spent on a diamond pickaxe). I also got a cave I'm in the process of exploring.
I also got a load of iron ingots just in case I somehow ran out of diamonds. However, I found enough diamonds for a diamond pick before my diamond pick broke, so I don't think running out of diamonds is a major concern.
Time though, it's very much a major concern. I don't know if I can even drag this thing on for months. It's not that I don't have time, it's that I might stop giving this ridiculous challenge the time it needs.
Also, things are pretty repetitive. Jump sprint through a 2 blocks high straight tunnel while pressing the space bar every so often to get to the end of the strip mine, do the same thing going back, mine this specific way and get all the resources when you see them, etc. etc. etc.
I have the idea of using villagers to trade for armor, which might be efficient in the long run. However, I don't have any villagers. But if I do get some, I might start using it as a source of diamond armor.
Also, I will be calling this "Thousand netherite armor sets" thing TNAS because that's what happens when you take the first letter of each word from that sentence.
