LiteXL 2.0.3r3 released

26 September 2022

A few minutes ago I released a new version of LiteXL editor for both AmigaOS 4 and MorphOS. This is my 8th release, which is an achievement, especially if you consider that the very first release happened 9 months ago.

One of the main reasons I continue working on that editor is that it seems a lot of people love it and use it daily, and for that I am grateful. I'd like to thank you all for contacting me and supporting my work.

So, what this update brings to you? In this release, a lot of fixes were done to avoid crashes here and there, especially with file paths.

I fixed also the locale issue on MorphOS, removing the lazy solution I had in the previous release. I hope it will work on every system just fine, no matter the localization.

I included two new plugins with this version, that support AmigaGuide and Hollywood files, with syntax highlighting and word suggestions. For Hollywood I am using a small dictionary and not the full one, because that is really big and would slow down the file loading significantly.

Searching a word or phrase in the opened files now works on MorphOS as it should, and no error appears at the bottom of the page.

If you want to download the new version you can find it at my personal Git repo and soon at OS4Depot and MorphOS-Storage.

Caution: If you already use LiteXL and would like to update to the new version by replacing the files, you might experience a crash on the first run. Try to restart it and if it crashes every time, try to delete the .config/session file.

If you find what I am doing valuable, you can buy me a coffee to keep me awake at night, with future releases to come.
