I started a gemlog myself, but never had a web presence. I find liberating that I can pen my thoughts with worrying about formatting etc. using Gemini. Didn't have to install Wordpress or find hosting (just static content).
Maybe I'm overcomplicating -in my head- what it implies to have a website.
