SmallPop

I went on a binge, signing up at every small population place I could find. BBSes, Pubnixes, gemini hosts, little chat things, you name it. I hope Cosmicā€¢Voyage is fun, Iā€˜ll be writing there soon.

I donā€˜t have any unique ideas about The Big Bad Web, but Iā€™m convinced we need more isolated places. At least I need them. SmallPop (or SmolPop?) is what I call it, and it is what it says: a small population of people, isolated from the Web, who can become whatever they like together, without the drama.

I nearly signed up at gemlog.blue but itā€™s not quite a SmallPop. Your gemlog is shared over HTTP. Besides, itā€˜s accumulated lots of fembots now, and thatā€˜s sad. The key to SmallPop is not just the population, but the isolation. The moment you connect to the borg, you become the borg, is what mother always says.

Anyway this capsule, I dunno, right? Iā€˜m on ctrl-c.club, which is an amazing SmallPop tilde with verifiable geniuses. Maybe some of it will rub off on me while I struggle to learn linux assembly. Always wanted to make a real app in assembly, and ctrl-c is my ā€œmoral supportā€ plan.

Besides code, I write a lot of fiction, but itā€˜s sitting on my hard drive as a dream deferred. Shyness, I suppose. Iā€˜ll be posting that, too.

Finally: hello to you, Iā€˜m glad you came. I hope my stuff is worth a sip of tea or two. Thank you for spending time with me, I appreciate you.
