maemo-leste is a community driven mainline linux devuan based modern operating system for mobile devices which uses hildon desktop and has a look and feel of old good maemo fremantle which only worked on n900.
maemo leste however works on many devices, including motorola droid4, pinephone, etc.

maemo on pinephone — i was using maemo mostly on droid4. and on pinephone i was mostly using postmarketos with sxmo. i don't use the postmarketos suspend function, which can save battery life. if the phone suspends, then it can be waken up only by incoming sms or call. but i have no sim card, and even disabled the modem before turning the device up for the first time. now for several days i run maemo on it, and i enjoy it so much. first of all, the battery life got much much better. i...

I did spent all day trying to build updated raspi4 images. Could not download the maemo keyring near the end.

so i run maemo-leste on 2 devices: motorola droid4 and pinephone. i actually used motorola droid4 with maemo as my main ievice since january 2023 till about september, and i still use it every day. it is very nice to have a portable devuan with mobile friendly ui: hildon. it is very convenient to type with hardware keyboard. i type in lagrange and dino, most of the times.
