chronic pain

~beefox

i am so tired of my chronic pain. not even opioids (at the doses im comfortable with) help really. i've tried so many different medications and other things to help and my pain just keeps increasing.

i really hope this pain specialist can help. im at my wits end, i don't want to increase my opioid use because well primarily i hate the sideeffects of cotton mouth and constipation, but also apparently addiction runs in the family.

im writing this at 4:22am in maybe an 8/10 pain (which for abled people would be above a 10 and they'd be off to hospital if it was this bad) and want to know what i did today? sat on the couch and napped because i am so exausted from all the pain.

people complement me on how many projects i do and how much stuff i get done so quickly but they don't really realise that the reason im constantly working on something is that if i don't have constant distractions i can't survive.

i try my hardest, i listen to my doctors, i do my own research. its just so exausting

Oh wow :( This is very, very scary. I imagine it is more or less constant... Was today an specially bad day? What is it like on good days? When did the pain start?

Indeed, your site is amazing!! I'll look further into it in the next days, I do have a lot to learn from it and it is very enjoyable.

Thank you for letting us know the other side of the coin, even if there is so little we can do to help you... We can hope to provide some distraction, I guess?

Take care :)

It's exhausting, I feel you. I have some nerve damage that still flairs up, but used to be constant. Doc's told me I just had to ride it out. My friends made my some herbal tinctures---St. Johns Wort internally and Mullien root externally---that actually took most of the edge off. I didn't buy too much into that stuff before then. Might be worth looking into.
