Modified quote from Paul Miller - him saying,
"I'm becoming a worse writer at the same pace I become a better developer"
...where I swap out "developer" for "Sysadmin". And I am not even *that* up to snuff with Sysadmin things, just know my writing chops are sxxx (no swearing here! ;)) compared to where they likely were a few years back. But I likely gave myself too much credit for it, anyways, so...
The quote comes from Paul Miller's "Ten years on the internet" post - https://www.pauljmiller.com/posts/internet.html, and I cannot tell you how influenced I was by the original "Offline" series on The Verge from a decade ago. If there were ever a magnum opus of "cool shit that changed how I think/am" in the era of influencers, and gimmicks, and short/longterm dopamine toxicity, I'd say keeping pace with the articles/insights from "Offline" made me think differently about the WWW.
But yea, writing digresses, Sysadmin and tech-oriented projects PROgresses! :) I wouldn't want it any other way!
Until later, all!
