My latest video is the English cumulative folk song "Green Grow the Rushes, Oh" on twelve different instruments. Which one is your favourite? YouTube: https://youtu.be/0tDzyJxdWhE PeerTube: https://video.thomaspreece.net/w/cJEoQhMzEdXmC6RiP5teta

YouTube has decided that the melody I used in a video I uploaded today infringes on someone's copyright. Must be a very old person if they still have a copyright on a tune first recorded in 1784.

Been playing around with vintage toy keyboards again. They're fun to make music with, because you don't have to worry about whether it's going to sound "good" - because it won't - and once you accept that, it's really liberating because you can play whatever you want on it and just enjoy how cheesy and ridiculous it sounds.

Been doing some genealogy again, looking at distant cousins from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The occupations on the censuses are predictable as always: coal miner, coal miner, coal miner, coal miner, professional footballer for Manchester City, coal miner, coal miner...
