40m is working close today. I copied KC9HEK calling CW SKCC about 75 miles away but no reply to my answer. Copied WA2YLY in Hawley PA 92 miles away down in PA, short QSO. Bob was a 599, he reported me at 559. I'm only using 4 watts out to my zepp and there was some fade so if you're trying HF it's working but at least on 40,m CW it's real close in!

@addison yeah, that's just lingo for excatly that, propagation is close if at all. Maybe slightly better than saying the "band is dead"
