Generative Art: Particle Systems

One time I started experimenting with creating thousands of particles, each with a position and a direction vector, steering toward the closest attraction point.

I called images and videos made using this technique "Gravity" even though the code does not model real gravity exactly: the steering force is the same however far the particle is from the attraction point. Also, only the nearest attraction point affects it.

Gravity-4

Four attraction points on the vertices of a square.

Gravity-6

Six attraction points on the vertices of a hexagon.
