A few weeks ago I moved to Việt Nam. Why? 1: To challenge myself and experience life somewhere very different. 2: To live more cheaply and have more time for Yakk and other projects.
Since 13 is so lucky in Asia, here are 13 reflections from my Vietnam experience so far: https://gist.githubusercontent.com/martinrue/7a45d3d5fcd47f643993be4dbb7ac272/raw/f710acdbe0dd16d309ff219c7740687c39bf8b8d/Vietnam.txt

If you're looking for a (semi-)permanent exit from the Anglosphere, keep your posting oblique. Don't give unnecessary opinions about local matters to avoid future visa or residency complications. As someone prominent in this community, for your security (now and in the future) refrain from sharing too many details. Your travel logistics should not be public knowledge. Write these things down in a private diary. Have fun and remember: everywhere you go, there you are. · 2 months ago
@acidus The plan was to reach Vietnam and stay here, and after only a week in Đà Nẵng I'm already sold! Met some cool people here and the city is a perfect mix of all the things I was looking for. Got a 90 day visa and will need to do a visa run when that runs out, which is the common route people take here. · 2 months ago
@martin how long are you staying in each country? Are you using tourist visas? How long do you expect to me back to go? I really enjoyed the website design documenting the trip and can't wait for you to share some more details · 2 months ago
