Item #: SCP-J-0015
Object Class: Euclid
Jools is to be fed 1/4 cup of cat food at regular intervals throughout the day. If she has been fed within the last two hours, she is not to be fed again.
The contents of Jools’ litterbox are not anomalous in nature and may be disposed of, but should not be handled by researchers who are pregnant or suspect they may become pregnant.
SCP-J-0015 is a temporospatial anomaly situated within the digestive tract of Researcher ██████’s pet cat, Jools.
All tests performed (medical, thaumaturgical, and so forth) indicate that Jools is a perfectly normal housecat (Felis catus) specimen. She is 12 years of age and of an average size and weight.[1] Anomalous properties only manifest when Jools eats something.
When food is placed on Jools’ designated food plate and she eats from it, said food appears to be normally ingested, but somehow it fails to reach her stomach. This is proven by the fact that only a few minutes after emptying her plate, Jools begins harassing Researcher ██████ and his wife for more food as though she hadn’t just eaten.
Despite this fact, Jools continues to maintain a steady weight, suffers no ill effects to her health, and even somehow manages to defecate within a few hours after eating.
Maybe it’s the plate? She doesn’t do this when we put turkey on the table for her. —Researcher ██████
On ██/██/20██, a new food dish was purchased and Researcher ██████ began feeding Jools from it. The anomalous behavior continued to be observed. Further, Researcher ██████ experienced no abnormal effects when eating food off of the old plate.
Maybe it’s the food, then? —Researcher ██████’s wife
On ██/██/20██, shortly before Jools’ bag of cat food was depleted, Researcher ██████ tried purchasing a different kind of cat food (in case it was the brand that was anomalous) from a different store (in case it was the store that was anomalous).
Anomalous behavior continued to be observed when Jools consumed the new food from her new plate, strongly indicating that the anomaly lies within Jools herself.
Funding has been requested to test the effects of SCP-J-0015 when exposed to additional brands of cat food. A response is pending.
Please fund this research. This cat is eating me out of house and home. —Researcher ██████
Her meowing is persuasive but it’s not memetic. Stay strong and don’t give in. —Researcher ██████’s wife
1. A little chonky, actually.
