Ciaran Mather, 25 May

A resident of Suncroft has received his 23rd conviction for public

disorder.

Judge Desmond Zaidan convicted Raman Badalov, with an address given as

Hawthorn Wood in Suncroft, for the offence when he presided over his

case on Thursday, May 23 last.

Gardaí told the court that on the night of March 11 last, the

45-year-old was spotted in a 'highly-intoxicated' state by gardaí who

were in the Brownstown Manor region of Brownstown, The Curragh, at the

time.

When he was approached by the gardaí, he told them to 'f**k off' and

also began shouting at random people nearby.

He pleaded guilty to the offence.

The court was told that Mr Badalov has 92 previous convictions, 22 of

which are for public disorder.

Defending barrister Mark Gibbons said that his client had previously
