It's been a pretty good series so far, but I've been jumping ahead in the Light Novels it's based off of, and it gets way better. I think you missed it being on Catch-up (ie, you can read all the volumes for free) by about two months, which coincided with the anime starting, but J-Novel Club has been translating the LN.
My memory is a bit terrible for keeping these things straight, but others say the anime has basically just adapted volume 1, and the English translation of Volume 10 just wrapped up.

Recommendation: The Apothecary Diaries — Crunchyroll streams this newish anime (currently at S01E08), a slow story playing in the emperor's palace in medival China. The young protagonist is a kidnapped former apothecary, who is quite smart and uses her stoic demeanor and knowledge to reluctantly solve some problems in the palace and gains the trust and respect of many people.
