Re: "Toilets: Good, Bad, and Exploding"
"It turned out to be the best toilet in the house. It has the prerequisite #1 and #2."
Sounds like a "Glacier Bay" brand. They are great for the price. Left button with one water drop symbol is #1, right with two drops #2. Supposed to use less water for just #1 flushes.

I'm sorry I'm getting caught-up on your ten-bedroom house ๐ As a chronic renter, that's so much!

@stack it sounds like a fascinating place with lots of history. I'd bet it keeps you busy, for better or worse.

I promise to write some more about the things I found...
Toilets: Good, Bad, and Exploding โ Americans are obsessed with bathrooms, and my house has four. To be fair, it has (conservatively) 10 bedrooms, so it's not really excessive. I think it was a whorehouse in the early 1900's. One of the toilets, my favorite, had a jet-engine flusher. Sequestered on the top floor and used mainly by me, it was incredibly powerful: nothing was ever unflushed as a blast of water blew through it with tremendous force. It was truly awesome, and I became a butt...
