I found a nearby spot with a better view to the west, at the southern end of Peger road. I was not able to get out early enough tonight to see the sun setting behind the hills, but I got a few good photos of twilight scenery.

I had to be careful to exclude the ground itself from the photos, since the site had obviously seen a long winter much frequented by dogs and by drinking parties, and so the footpath was hardly photogenic. But aside from that, the site gives a nice view towards the hills in the east and a spruce tree line to the south.
