@ttocsneb The idea of limits and developing fits well with Gemini's goal as well. Limits and forms breed creativity and ingenuity! · 2 years ago
This Looks so cool! I really like the idea of forcing interesting limitations on developers to make games. I hope I end up getting it. · 2 years ago
Wow, that thing looks incredibly cool. I don't know if it's $180 cool, but it's pretty darn cool. · 2 years ago
Day 1 buy from me. Panic always puts out great stuff, and this partnership with Teenage Engineering will hopefully be no exception. It looks delightfully physical, and the games seem like a fun outlet. Expensive, but so be it. · 2 years ago
Makes me want to work for Panic (or teenage engineering, for that matter). Also reminds me a bit of the reMarkable or Flipper Zero (in that it's a purpose-built device that sparks joy). I might have to get my hands on one. · 2 years ago
@skyjake also the reflectiveness thing sounds like staring in a mirror while playing · 2 years ago
@thatsredadcted
season stuff
Well, hopefully, you won't need a subscription to upload binaries on it, and from that point it's up to game devs to name the price.
There is always room for degeneracy. If their design is as great as Apple's, will their bussiness model be as ugly? · 2 years ago
It has a very special black and white screen – not backlit, but super reflective – that looks way more amazing than you're probably imagining.
I'm tempted but the lack of a backlight gives me serious doubts. · 2 years ago
It it cute, but 180 usd for this kind of device is kinda pricey, isn't it?
Also I'm not sure if I get the season stuff. Is this like subscription model?
Pay every year to recieve more games
Type of stuff? · 2 years ago
