## Overview of Hindi

- Hindi is an Indo-Aryan language spoken mainly in India and Nepal.
- It is the fourth most spoken language in the world.
- Hindi is written in the Devanagari script.

## Basic Vocabulary

- Namaste - Hello
- Shukriya - Thank you
- Haan - Yes
- Nahi - No
- Kaise ho? - How are you?
- Accha - Good
- Khana - Food
- Pani - Water
- Kitne - How many?
- Kitna - How much?

## Numbers

- 0 - शून्य (shunya)
- 1 - एक (ek)
- 2 - दो (do)
- 3 - तीन (teen)
- 4 - चार (chaar)
- 5 - पाँच (paanch)
- 6 - छह (chhah)
- 7 - सात (saat)
- 8 - आठ (aath)
- 9 - नौ (nau)
- 10 - दस (das)

## Basic Grammar

- Hindi has two genders: masculine and feminine.
- Nouns are either masculine or feminine.
- Verbs change depending on the gender of the subject.
