That's a good one, mine's not that old but maybe it'll get there. I transfer my books with the USB cable so I don't depend on Amazon still supporting it, and it uses so little battery power that I imagine I'll keep using it until it physically breaks.
Nice. The idea of drm-breaking e-books and getting back to the point where I have a hard drive full of "my copies" of favorite media is appealing, but I find lots of other ways to spend my time than rebuilding a library of stuff I may or may not ever engage. I still struggle with even the cognitive load of "why do I have this school project from 20 years ago?" and "do I need this photo of a turtle I took at the zoo?"
