Paul O'Meara, 10 May
Kildare County Council has been asked to take the River Liffey Walk in
Ballymore Eustace in charge.
This would mean that the council would be responsible for carrying out
any necessary infrastructural work there.

The request came from Cllr Evie Sammon who was told that the council
has “no objection in principle to taking this section of the walk in
charge.”
But before that can happen, the site would have to be assessed to
ascertain the extent of works required and the cost involved. It was
also pointed out by KCC that money will have to be found for this
because it’s not covered in the existing budget.
