Geminispace super-aggregator that collects posts from various other aggregators, grouping threads of discussion together.
"⭐️ Show posts newer than this" is now limited to a maximum of 500 of the most recent entries due to performance reasons. The limitation was applied because someone/something was hitting tons of old "since?nnnn" URLs, impacting the entire capsule's responsiveness.

User-Configurable Filters Like Antenna Has — I'd like to have user-configurable filters to have a less noisy Cosmos feed. There are some sites I never use, like Spellbinding, which not only posts often, but also has a very noticable emoji in front of the link. A calmer version would be very nice.

Bubble's s/Test and Cosmos' automatic Bubble subspace aggregation — Cosmos aggregates Bubble's subspaces by default. Unfortunately it aggregates test subspaces as well, like s/Test. It would be nice if those subspaces wouldn't appear on Cosmos.

Does Cosmos handle a 31 permanent redirect of previous gemtext feed links that aggregated before? I updated my capsule to status 31 redirect from an ambiguous path to the specific file it's serving in an attempt to make my paths less ambiguous to help with offline support. My page [gemini link] now 31 redirects to [gemini link] and doesn't seem to aggregate into Cosmos anymore. It's fine and not the end of the world by any means if that means it won't be aggregated into Cosmos anymore, but...

Housekeeping note: hd.206267.xyz will not be appearing in Cosmos. (It is currently listed by Antenna.)

Small Cosmos fix: paths in entry URLs are now cleaned up so that there are no relative references (`.` or `..`). This should remove some duplicate entries. Keep an eye out for weirdly malformed/broken URLs, in case I introduced any new bugs with this...

Cosmos is now picking up @gritty's DSN Antenna as an additional source.

Feature Request: Better filenames for view customization #nitpicking — I apologize in advance. 🙏 Current linkage on view.gmi: [preformatted] Only the first paragraph has meaningful link names. The latter ones could be improved: [preformatted] Or, because some people don't like long file names: [preformatted] Anything is better than appending numbers to a filename. 😀

Issue: Show recents link on recent.gmi points to itself — [gemini link] has a link to itself called "Show recent posts". IMHO it only makes sense to have this on [gemini link] pages to avoid users having to click for no benefit.

Issue: Cosmos' index page is served from two different URLs — [gemini link] points to the Cosmos root with a `=> index.gmi` link instead of `=> .` or `=> /~Cosmos/`. Not only is the same content served from two different URLs ([gemini link] and [gemini link] this apparently creates duplicate pages in search engines and their related functionality like backlinking or page ranking.

Charting the Cosmos — Cosmos has been up and running since the start of 2022, collecting gemlog posts and other feed entries around Geminispace. I thought it would be interesting to take a closer look at the data.

I don't find the repository for Cosmos. Is it available?

Hmm, I see it's time to block Tux Machines from Cosmos.

Q: How often does Cosmos aggregate sources and which ones are they?

Limit SERP spam — Currently, there's the ability to limit displayed posts to recent ones, which is great. [gemini link] Cosmos: Recent Posts On this page, there's a dynamic link to only display newer ones than the ones displayed on the recent posts page: [gemini link] Show newer posts than this Unfortunately, this link is crawled by crawlers and ends up on search engine result pages. This is not ideal, because if I search for an uncommon keyword, where I can estimate the number of expected...
