Oh, this one has a special place in my heart too. I know it's a bit unusual to love computers, but eh, I'm weird, get over it.

This machine was a heavyweight. It was a lower end model of HP's workstations from 2008, and was shipped to me from Bargain Hardware with a Pentium E5200 installed and 2GB of RAM, or so. It also came with a Quadro NVS285, which was not suitable for my needs.

It was used as my gaming computer for a few months, until March 2019 when I built my own. It was kinda the gateway into properly upgrading a machine, and it received not only one, but two GPU upgrades in its lifetime, alongside a power supply upgrade. See trivia for a little bit of info on that.

I have decided to retroactively name this machine Hektor, as I feel it deserves a name.

'Twas a great Minecraft and TF2 machine.

The specs listed below was its final operating configuration. It previously had a 512MB GeForce 8800 GT inside.

Trivia

The fact I remember the exact model number of the hard drive off by heart is just plain sad.
This was the first computer that I exclusively ran Linux on.
It got my foot in the door for parts upgrades.
It weighed a whopping 15.1 kilograms (33.3 pounds). It was a real heavy boi.
The storage drives, GPU and power supply were transferred to my first self built PC in March 2019.
The power supply mount was slightly NOT standard ATX, with the top left screw being moved to be in line with the bottom left. I had to sit the new power supply on top of the machine and feed the cables in through the back, through the gaping hole. Thankfully the SATA cables were long enough.
It is retroactively nicknamed Hektor, after 624-Hektor.
I want another xw4600.
