Selfhosting
Last updated on 10 December 2022
I'm interested in being able to look after my own data, as much as possible. I try to ensure that this is at least (almost) as convenient as commercial where I can (and so there is probably much more I can do).
What I currently selfhost
Most of the services I selfhost run on Linode [1] servers. I can definitely recommend them for ease of security, management, and performance. For personal services, I use a home-based Raspberry Pi.

Some of the things I enjoy self-hosting:
- Nextcloud
- Monica
- FreshRSS
- Gemini
- Gitea
- Photoprism
- Home Assistant
Backing-up
One of the most important considerations when self-hosting. I use these tools:
Thoughts/questions
- Self-hosted password manager
* Keepass synced via Nextcloud? KeePass [2]
2
* Move to vaultwarden? dani-garcia/vaultwardens [3]
3
- Self hosted 2FA - what solutions exist for this?
* 2FAuth [4]
