I've never been able to focus.
I'll be cleaning, or messing with spreadsheets for work, and all of a sudden I wonder 'could you type prose in the international phonetic alphabet (IPA), so you could put accents into a book properly?'. And then I think 'can I use the IPA as a keyboard layout, like I use the Polish layout? Thirty minutes later, I'm wandering around how X and Wayland understand keyboard layouts, and the distasteful memory of the spreadsheet task has faded while the dishes have developed a semi-sentient mould.
I used to think the nonsense above, but I'd like to correct it now.
I have excellent focus, and little patience for trivial nonsense. I have such good focus that I can - without preparation - research all manner of fascinating topics on a whim. I once taught myself shorthand, just because I find it beautiful. This kind of focus not only has endurance, but the ability to push away the kinds of menial drivel which other people might get hung up on, like work, or university, or some kind of appointment.
