The in situ observations show the arrival of the shock wave, Oct 19th at 13:45UT. The
magnetic field magnitude, increased from 5 to 10 nT, with a simultaneous increase at
the solar wind speed (maximum value reached was 440 km/s), density and the
temperature. The solar origin of the observed shock is presently unclear. Currently
the Bz component of the interplanetary magnetic field returned to being negative and
no geomagnetic disturbance is expected (K Dourbes reached 3 and currently K=2 Kp=3,
as last reported by Dourbes and NOAA, respectively).
