A south-east partial halo coronal mass ejection (CME) was observed in the LASCO/C2 imagery around 16:12 UTC on February 21th. The eruption was related to an activity behind at the east limb. No impact on Earth is expected.

An impulsive X1.8 flare has occurred, with a peak time 23:07UTC on February 21th, was produced by NOAA AR 3590. Currently no increase is observed in the GOES proton flux. Strong radio burst and highly disturbed radio communications have been observed related to this flaring activity.

An X1.7 flare, with a peak time 06:32 UTC on February 22th, was produced by NOAA AR 3590. Currently no increase is observed in the GOES proton flux.
Issued on 2024 Feb 22 0930 UTC
A westward partial halo coronal mass ejection (CME) was detected in the LASCO/C2 data at 18:36 UTC on February 21th. The CME is associated with a filament eruption seen in SDO/AIA 304 & 193 at 17:37 on February 21th in the north-west quadrant of visible solar disk. The CME has an estimated speed of around 450 km/s and is expected to impact the Earth on February 25th. Unsettled to active geomagnetic conditions are expected due to the arrival of the ICME.
