Ibn Ezra on Leviticus 25:17

Home

Torah

17 ‎[1] [AND YE SHALL NOT WRONG ONE ANOTHER.] This is to be understood as a warning to the seller, for the first injunction is directed to the buyer.

‎[2] FOR I AM THE LORD YOUR GOD. As I am your God, I will exact punishment from the two of them, from the one who wrongs his neighbor. If you observe My statutes the earth will bring forth its produce. Scripture mentions this because it earlier spoke of the number of crops (v. 16).
