Lagrange-colored glasses: An ubuntu upgrade late last week broke Lagrange for me and I only made time today to fix it. In the meantime I'd tried amfora but quickly grew impatient over the need to learn new keybinding and so avoidied Geminispace altogether. That is lame, in the name of redundancy I should learn to operate at least two clients with proficiency.

@pete 👍 Yeah, I ran into a similar issue myself when upgrading the Nvidia drivers. Makes me wonder if defaulting to GPU rendering is wise on X11, but it has real performance benefits on large displays. · 3 years ago
amfora can also show all the keybindings if you press ? · 3 years ago
@skyjake pretty obvious with hindsight that user error was to blame gemini://gemlog.blue/users/futagoza/1620688323.gmi · 3 years ago
@birabittoh yes you are right, the issue was an attitudinal barrier to learning anything new that wasn't already planned. Thanks for cluing me in, I'm going to start using amfora, too. · 3 years ago
@skyjake: Thank you for asking, I almost filed an issue but try to avoid github and am glad I didn't since issue was mistakenly upgrading nvidida driver without also applying needed dist-upgrade. · 3 years ago
I mean, amfora is really easy to use. It's two keybindings, really lol: b and f for back and forward, space to type url, ctrl+d to add bookmark, tab and shift+tab to cycle through links · 3 years ago
kudos to you for learning any of the keybinds · 3 years ago
What was the problem, if I may ask? Was it an Ubuntu issue or something I could improve? · 3 years ago
I use amfora and love it. · 3 years ago
