25 ‎[1] [THE CLEAN.] The ten mentioned beasts. All the others are unclean.

‎[2] *The unclean fowl* means the unclean fowl which are mentioned. All others are clean.

‎[3] The meaning of *to hold unclean* is that you shall know in your mind and in your speech that it is unclean. Similarly, *ye shall have in detestation among the fowls* (Lev. 11:13). A resident alien shall therefore not eat that which is unclean in the clean land. He shall dwell in the land on this condition.
