Star Trek: The Stack
Quiz #1

by Stephen Brown, Copyright 1990

This software is shareware, so you can copy it but you can't sell it. If
you do sell it, you'll be hearing from my lawyer. You are not required
to pay for it, but it is nice to occasionally receive compensation
/appreciation/ acknowledgement for one's efforts. It also helps to
encourage further efforts. When you send the $15 shareware fee to me,
c/o 325 McKee Avenue, Willowdale, Ontario, Canada M2N4E6, be sure to
say which stack you are using, and include any comments.

Remember, the Apple II needs all the support it can get!

Files required for this stack are:
o Home.Stack
o Trek.stak
o Trekstak.more
o Frontier.Sound
o Captain.Sound

I have written the stacks this way, so that if I write 10 more
questions, it will be easy to "tack" that stack onto the existing
stacks.

This is the way it works:
                                  Boldly Go On
                                  (after 10th question)
click here Go Home, or Quit
Home.Stack ----------> Trek.Stak ------------> TrekStak.more
  ^ |
  |<----------------------------------------------
                     Quit

There should also be:
o HS.SYS16 (not required by owners of HyperStudio 2.1)
o Read.Me (this file!!)
o Read.Me.AWP (this file in AppleWorks 3 Format)

Volume name: /STAR.TREK.SB

The main stack (Trek.Stak) is a large (260K+) file, which is largely due
to the embedded sounds and animations it contains. Many machines
(particularly stock ROM 03 Apple IIGS's and those ROM 01 Apple IIGS's
using Apple's memory card) do not have much memory to spare, so I would
suggest that you set your ramdisk size to zero (use the control-panel)
and strip your system disk to the bare minimum (remove unneeded
desk.accs, fonts, cdevs, drivers). This stack should work nicely on a 1
meg machine.

Remember, you can quit HyperStudio or the HyperStudio player program
(HS.SYS16) by holding down the "apple" button (next to the "option"
button) while pressing the letter "Q".
