Yeah, I try to gently guide my family away from these rat-traps, but they just think I am a paranoid weirdo. "I have nothing to hide" is a common response. It's like saying free speech is pointless because you have nothing to say right now.

The question is difficult. On the one hand, the endless addition of unwanted "features" may drive people away, and I think it's good to encourage people to leave. On the other hand, if they refuse to, it's good to at least lessen the burden and show Facebook they're unhappy. The bright side is that if this feature auto-reactivates, that may drive users away anyway.
