This is a gemlog for the SpellBinding puzzle, in which you construct words using the specified letters (each word must contain the anchor letter).
ABATE ABBE ABBEY ABET AGATE AGGIE AGITATE BABE BAGGAGE BAGGIE BATE BEAT BEEBEE BEET BEGAT BEGET BEIGE BEIGY BETA BETTA BIGEYE BIGGIE BITE BYTE EATAGE EGGY GAGE GAIETY GAYETY GATE GIBBET GIBE GIGABYTE TEABAG TEAT TIBIAE YEGG YETI
Pangrams: GIGABYTE
I made a note: "I choose to resist IEC's 'gibibyte' and 'tebibyte'". As an old-school hacker from way back when, I find these absurd. A gigabyte to me is $40000000, or maybe, 0x40000000. What's with this tongue-tied bebieobe crap? And these are not in the dictionaries, so to heck with them.
ABBE (really, abbé) is a French clergy title.
AGGIE is a special marble (as in the game of marbles).
BETTA: an aquarium fish
BIGEYE: another fish
EATAGE: grassy horse feed
GIBBET: another word for gallows for hanging people
GIBE: verbally tease or taunt
YEGG: a safecracker, or possibly, robber
TEABAG: in addition to the normal definition, (v) to smear one's testicles onto another's face. I had no idea _that_ is a thing until an acquaintance told me that he went to a party which turned out to be a teabagging party. I am glad I was never invited to such parties.
Another day.
