% \sccn{Munti Hills}
% General Alus had his ragged army set behind the crests, with the remains of his light infantry dispersed in small groups on the road. The plan was to create a field of death, with the skirmishers soldiers acting as bait for the barbarians. They wouldn't fight, as it was to be expected of a defeated force, but gallop up the rolling hills, and let their persecutors crush themselves against well ordered and fresh infantry. If that worked out, well, he'd see from there.
% The barbarian army arrives and initiates pursuit but seeing the Imperials coming to the hills, they split themselves in two, going to the flanks, waiting for the main force to arrive.
% Seeing what's coming for him, Alus orders a charge but the barbarians simply retreat, with Alus losing the element of surprise. Facing a superior army Alus orders a general retreat, but the barbarians arrive faster.
% A battle enuses, the barbarian cavalry crashes on a shocked infantry and gains moment, but it's unable to break it. In its eagerness the Barbarians have separated themselves from the main body, willing setting themselves in the trap. The right flank of the cavalry is charged by a desperate cohort of the 2nd legion which [for reasons] ignores them, still trying to breack, but the imperials don't yell, and with half of the cavalry slain the barbarinas finally withdraw. Alus get injured somehow
% When the main barbarian force reaches them, however, the battle devolves into a confused melee, with orders coming only to single units, most waiting to see what happens. An injured Alus, gets to the front of a third rate unit and charges the rear of a barbarian infantry kept in check by peltats... these panic and run, making the whole barbarian army run, persecution, many deaths, Alus makes a name for himself, but must lead from a stretcher.
