A YOUNG woman has been assaulted in a student village in University of
Limerick.
The incident happened at 4.15pm yesterday (Wednesday, May 8) and it was
reported to gardaí.
Gardaí confirmed that the woman was taken to University Hospital
Limerick for treatment of non-life threatening injuries as a result of
the incident.

In a statement to Limerick Live, gardaí said: “No arrests have been
made. Investigations are ongoing.”
It’s understood the assault happened in Kilmurry Village and a
spokesperson for UL did not confirm or deny whether or not there was a
breach of security involved.
The UL spokesperson said: “Student support and welfare services have
been extended to any students affected by the incident.”
UL student life’s advice and advocacy teams support students in any
areas that affect their wellbeing and can refer them onto the
appropriate services if required.
