Logically I now that 了 makes it a state change, but the mental proximity to “太多了” makes me keep trying to add 了 when it doesn’t make sense to.

I seem to be rusty at quickly remembering things like 早餐，午餐/午饭，晚餐/晚饭 and without the context of the prompt I probably wouldn’t have recognized 餐 in isolation.
