What are the most unique uses or biggest "abuses" of the gemini protocol you're all aware of? I read that some people have used it to stream content.
Personally I can't get the idea of using it to access a remote drive/image out of my head. Data is encrypted during transit, you can use the client cert to restrict access. As gemini doesn't have persistent connections the performance might not be great but I can think of a few ways that it might be good enough for workloads that are heavier on reads than writes.

@moddedbear and @falshdenker thanks for your responses. I'll check out chat.mozz.us · 1 year ago
I know there is/was an image board somewhere but I can't remember the link. Never used it myself but thought it was a neat idea. · 1 year ago
Well I know of gemini://chat.mozz.us/, but there might be some other cool things too · 1 year ago
