This one isn't good, per se, but it's certainly very different from the previous installments. There's no near divorce this time, but there are money squabbles, which lead the Bumsteads to spend a night in a haunted house. It isn't haunted by a ghost, but by a crazed murderer posing as a butler, which eventually leads Blondie to the realization that she probably shouldn't get a maid because... uh... it could be highly dangerous, I guess? Dagwood's crushing right cross is put to good use in this one, at least, when he takes the butler out.

This one also includes Ray Turner as Horatio Jones, a black man trying to join a lodge, whose initiation consists of having to spend a night in a haunted house. His part in the movie is, unfortunately, what you'd expect.
