This one is, dare I say, the best one yet. After Daisy becomes famous for being the Navy's "pin-up dog," she begins a lucrative modelling career which leads to her being dognapped by gangsters. The gangsters happen to be nightclub owners, in a town that seems to have a very large number of them for some reason. When the sailors come home to meet Daisy in person, they find out about the dognapping and go to confront the gangsters. A fight breaks out, and the sailors win, and Daisy is saved!
Also, at one point Dagwood tries to compete with Daisy by becoming a swimsuit model, making Blondie jealous. It doesn't lead to a near divorce as one would expect, though at one point Dagwood and the kids are so jealous of Daisy's fame that they decide they want to get rid of her. Cookie also asserts that the situation will cause her to become a juvenile delinquent.
The fight doesn't include Dagwood punching anyone, though he does get a couple good swings in. Instead, Blondie gets to clock the lady gangster, though only off-screen.
Also notable: Cookie in mortal danger as she walks precariously on the edge of Dagwood's office building.
Also not so notable: Alvin is absent, and we're introduced to a new neighbor kid, Tommy, who is fairly dull and a poor replacement.
