Ah, it's the Blondie/Marmaduke cross-over movie!
They take things to new heights in this one. The near divorce gets even farther than ever, as Blondie goes into an actual lawyer's office to discuss it with him (she had spoken with a lawyer about divorce previously, but that was just a chance meeting at the train station). Also, not only does Dagwood punch someone, so does Mr. Dithers, Blondie, and Baby Dumpling.
Some other highlights:
- In a ploy to join the Boy Rangers, Alvin and Baby start using slang around Blondie in the hopes that she will make them join to clean up their language. At one point, Baby calls Blondie "toots."
- Chin Up the great Dane eats everything, which leads to him being accused of eating another dog.
- Dagwood can't take a bath, and throws a temper tantrum over it.
- Vet rage. So much vet rage.
Unfortunately, even though a major part of the movie involves a dog show, and Daisy does go to it, she doesn't accidentally get entered, which is a gigantic missed opportunity.
