Part of an ongoing series: The Dragonoid Chronicles
The Dragonoids are, on average, 10-foot tall humanoids. They have evolved from city-sized dragons, down to the humanoid-sized creatures that inhabit the Sphere today. Possessing fierce strength and immeasurable patience, most creatures are immediately intimidated upon encountering one. Like all creatures in the Sphere, they come in 2 genetic varieties, which are known as Mshth and Ftshth.
Their heads contain 3 eyes: one facing forward, and two facing outward at 45 degree offsets from the front one. Their eyes, with triangular pupils, are often each different colors, but always in various shades of crimson, black or purple. They posses no hair, and for ears they simply have slits on either side of their head. The nose usually takes up half the height of their face, starting just above the mouth and running upward to the top of the head, and the nose width is about a third the size of that, with nostrils the size of a human's entire eyeball. The mouth is, at first glance, surprisingly tiny: only the size of one of their nostrils. When opened, however, their malleable scales recede, displaying an orifice tenfold larger and brimming with razor sharp teeth, half of which are as long as a human's pinkie finger, and sharp enough to pierce a diamond with ease. The tongue is often tucked away, but when fully stuck out, is as long as their noses are tall. Their torsos are of various builds, much like the humans. Wings of varying shapes and sizes crest their backs, and tails protrude from the rear of the abdomen. The hands and feet are clawed like a spear tip, with fingers of matching circumference.
Like all creatures in the Sphere, the Dragonoids come in 2 genetic varieties: Mshth and Ftshth.
For the Mshth, the tail is used as a combat accessory and is thereforce regarded as a measure of their individual power, which also has the benefit of attracting the Ftshth. This makes tail size a very delicate subject.
For the Ftshth, the wings are used to envelop their children, known as Draglets, during raids and while sleeping and are therefore regarded as a measure of their nuturing capacity, which also has the benefit of attracting the Mshth. This makes wing size a very delicate subject.
