Processed foods get a bad rap. Miso soup is heavily processed. And chocolate, coffee, a vegetable pie. The crust? Processed flour and there ain't no butter tree. The veggies? More processing. Modern industrial corporate food? Longer to say, but much deserves the rap. Keep the ingredient list short, avoid added sugars. No red nor yellow number whatevers. Try more whole wheat than not.
Maybe a ferment? Cabbage is cheap, and kraut is to keep. Perhaps too salty, though.
Intuitive eating is a thing. What does you body want? Is there room for negotiation? The gut bacteria will have their say. Beating yourself up for failing this indulging that sets another round of indulging this failing that. Big meal? Skip out until breakfast. Enjoy the heck out of it. Then rest, or have a walk. Eat mindfully.
