Hello. I am looking for a new home for my minimal Gemini-only game SpellBinding. It's been running at tilde.team, which has become unreliable due to overload and possibly DDOS. Today I couldn't even log in, and gemini services are down as I write this.
If you are running a stable Gemini server with CGI and can host SpellBinding, please contact me:
I am a good Gemini citizen, and my only goal is to improve the community I've grown to love.
The game is a ~30Kb cgi binary written in C, servicing requests in about 0.1ms. Current CPU time is usage is about 1 second per day. The game hardly uses any resources. I need to be able to compile (currently 500 lines of C) locally.
No disrespect for the fearless soles with a Raspberry Pi under your bed, but I need to be on a 'real' (64-bit intel/amd) server connected to the net, running Linux or BSD, with real security, patches, good uptime, and not ridiculously overloaded. Hopefully you know what you are doing - it's dangerous out there.
I have a few other ideas about low-overhead Gemini games and services, and would love to work with someone who is competent to run a server in the wild.
Let's make Gemini a more interesting place.
