More ideas for my capsule
The first priority was to format my gemlog in a certain way so that it can be a Feed.
Now I can get on the aggregators.
I picked up "Confessions of an English Opium Eater" off a cafe bookshelf some time ago and read a first few pages. Then I got the idea that I'll read the whole thing in a terminal and downloaded a copy from Project Gutenberg. Why not host the entire thing on my capsule for a few months; I think it's a funny thing to take up some of my server space and some of the geminispace snapshots.
After finding what was definitely mold growth patterns under the skin of a sweet potato, I had the idea to make some algorithm ASCII art on my main page. I would script it to update hourly, slowly growing something. The idea evolved from concentric circles to growing flowers. I might update a code and put in different scenes, patterns, and moving picture as I feel like. I then spent some time thinking about how my code can be both replicable and continuously updated and relaunched. Instead of saving the history, one should be able to replay it from the same random seed. It's possible by saving the counter as well as seed at each time while adding steps and programs to a sequence, and other mechanisms. Then I thought screw it, too hard, it's just going to be ephemeral.
The "Recent posts" bit of the main page ought to be scripted to update from gemlog index; I don't feel like doing it all twice.
Filling out general information on my main page is apparently the last thing I feel like doing.
