Personal aesthetics tier list
This tier list is about visuals only. All the names listed below are from https://aesthetics.fandom.com (as of March 2023).
ACHTUNG!: a lot of very offensive languages.
(very early draft. subject to change.)
Last update: 2023.3.10
S
- After Hours
- Holosexual
- Dazecore (only when you're on vacation and don't have to work later)
- Rainy Day (of course)
- Dark Paradise
- Cuddle Party (wait, what do you mean when you say you don't have depression so you don't need cuddles to cure?)
- De Stijl
- Bauhaus
- Memphis
- Dark Academia
- Vectorheart (when executed superbly)
Somewhere between S and A
- Cabincore
- Autumn
- Baroque (architecture only)
- Glowwave (when executed properly)
- Anemoiacore
- Nostalgiacore
- Ballet Academia & Balletcore (shh... don't tell anybody that i had a thing for lace and satin.)
- Bookstore Girl (why yes, i do like reading.)
- Chic Modernist
- Vectorheart (when executed normally. it's good but i couldn't help but feel it's a bit outdated.)
A
- Auroracore (when executed properly)
- Femme Fatale (before the woman in case decides to destroy you or use you as a sacrifice.)
- Art Nouveau
Somewhere between A and B
- Urbancore (fashion only)
- Y2K (of course)
- Light Academia
- Glitchcore (when executed properly)
- Gothic Lolita (on very few occasions)
- 2000's Autumn (non-offensive. if i can be slim enough this will be my casual outfit style.)
- Metalheart (it looks good in the past & for nostalgia reasons but sometimes you just couldn't help but consider it the 9-year-old younger cousin/nephew version of Vectorheart.)
B
- Traumacore (has merits but please seek a therapist.)
- Yami Kawaii (has merits but please seek a therapist.)
- Mizuiro (looks good. doesn't suit me.)
- Golden Hour (has potentials but hard to be original with this (skill issue?))
- Art Hoe (basic non-offensive normie fashion, but because it's non-offensive it's okay in my book.)
- Art Academia (also non-offensive. good.)
- Chaotic Academia (this ain't an aesthetic this is just life...)
- Gen X Soft Club
Somewhere between B and C
- Frutiger Aero (the "hey look it's *my* era!" aesthetic, where almost anything other than architectures and technology-related stuff looks awful.)
- Cyberdelic/Virualcore (it's okay... i guess.)
- Dokukawaii (wha- no.)
- Weirdcore (has merits but sadly this is the highest level it can ever evolve into.)
- Old Web (Geocities is very cool but this aesthetic is *way* too overused for my liking.)
- Art Deco (some elements got overused by one too many upstarts here so it's not a B for me.)
- Bubble Goth
- Kid Science
- Medicalcore (has merits but please get well soon)
C
(the middle ground between "love it" and "hate it".)
- VSCO (it's for people that lives in the free world without childhood trauma, not someone like me.)
- Glowwave (when executed poorly)
- Poolcore (it looks cool and all but the liminal feel is unsettling)
- Bastardcore (to me it's a plot device in writing stories, not an aesthetic...)
- Vectorbloom (a less-vile cousin of Frutiger Metro.)
- Corporate (i mean... it's corporate.)
- Angelcore (i mean... it's about angels.)
- Athlete (i mean... it's athlete.)
Honorable mentions - conflicted tier
- Drugcore (looks good but the motif is wack. please refrain from doing drugs.)
- Hatecore (dude chill)
- Kimoicore (has potentials but no.)
- Glitchcore (when executed badly)
- Barbiecore (don't like barbie but they can stay)
- Androgynous
- Animecore (i'm not that big of a weeb...)
- Bro (i'm not gay. sorry.)
- Cheiron Crush (has nostalgic values but nostalgic values only...)
- Cleancore (do you know too much cleaning products can be bad for your skin?)
- Cyberpunk (as a tech person i'm not sure if i want to live in a city like this...)
Somewhere between C and D
- '70s Disco (one of the signs of globalization. good thing it kinda died before globalization did.)
- Americana (i'm not that big of a fan of the USA.)
- E-Girl (she is your girl, or at least she'll be, you thought, if you just donate 5 more USD to her stream. no. she's almost certainly definitely not your girl. can be quite cute but she still isn't your girl.)
- E-Boy (but what kind of people would decide to be a fucking E-Boy?...)
- Bosozoku (not into gangsters. sorry.)
- Cyber Fairy Grunge (your days have already ended two decades ago, please let it go...)
- Cottagecore (not into farming. sorry.)
D
- Baddie (reminds me of highschool bullies.)
- Atompunk & Retro-futurism (i sincerely think nowadays they should both die in peace.)
- 1950s Suburbia (never lived in US-like suburbia before and it doesn't look like places that i'll be happy to live in...)
- Acidwave (i know it's induced differently but it looks like someone try to make iridescent things but failed miserably.)
- Babygirl (not into minors. sorry.)
Somewhere between D and E
- Asian Baby Girl (fuck off. have seen way too many girl bullies dress like this in my middle school days.)
- Aetherpunk (fuck off some 9 year old kid's wet dream...)
- Lobotomy-Chic (wha- no.)
E
- Gurokawa (no.)
- Frutiger Metro (a slightly-less-vile cousin of Corporate Memphis. no, you take Windows 8 out of this cesspit you bastard.)
- Neomorphism (it just screams "bad taste" for me. somehow worse than its parents (skeuomorphism & flat design).)
- Gyaru (ganguro is disgusting.)
- Afrofuturism & Afro-Victorian (political motherfucker get the fuck outta here)
- Coquet & Nymphet (hyperfemininity is a mistake, it's a sign that shows there's something terribly wrong with the society we live in.)
F
- Corporate Memphis (absolutely the worst. have zero idea why it's called corporate *memphis* while Memphis-Milano almost only involves geometric shapes.)
- Abstract Tech (those scamming "tech company" motherfucker always use this aesthetic for their slideshows.)
