i have heard matresses have to be changed periodically. not sure at which periods. i got mine in 2019 but it hasn't been used for last year, i asked a friend to keep it in his free room till our next move. now it is time. we r moving.

I've heard something like 8 years, but it may be a myth propagated by mattress purveyors. They also say you need to replace pillows because they wind up 50% mites and such nonsense. I've heard that the human body expels 2 liters of sweat during the night, which sounds like nonsense too. But a good hypo-allergenic waterproof dust cover for a mattress seems like a good idea
Gah. Wasted yet another day with laundry, new mattress delivered and unpacked, and agonizing over maybe getting a new bedframe at IKEA or another store, or craigslist. Then decided that the old frame is fine. Will I ever get to code? I don't know. Time for a martini.
