Figured somebody out there might be interested in what's happening with the various products Tom's been developing. So as of 3/15/97: 2qwk! release: 2.03U a.k.a. 2.04 Available on Ground & Caltech inworks: --- (done for now) The offline reader with the mostest was completed last October but was finally distributed in February (and resent to Ground in March). This project is about as complete as it is going to get offhand. GZPK release: 2.0 Unsure if distributed (I'll fix that!) inworks: ?? The util to convert .gz's found on FTP sites to .zip's for unpacking has been complete for awhile but has taken a back burner. QFIX release: 2.0GT Distributed with 2qwk! (will send solo soon) inworks: ?? The most intuitive ProDOS/app patcher to allow MSDOS filename yet also has been complete for awhile but not distributed outside of the 2qwk! bundle. BSC-It release: 1.0 (bsc only) Uploaded to Caltech & Ground on 3/15 inworks: 2.0 (bsc + Base64) What takes Binscii 1.0.3 nearly a minute to encode takes BSC-It seventeen seconds. The Base64 decoding in beta-7 works, no encoding yet; soon to be incorporated if all goes well are BinHex and uuencode/decode. LuFiCeR release: 1.0 Given to comp.bin.apple2 weeks ago inworks: pending bug reports An intuitive LF/CR adder/remover for textfiles. Will upload to the FTPs. As with GZPK, QFix, and BSC-It, LuFiCeR uses browser-menus so the user doesn't have to type path/filenames, and is 8-bit for the //e through GS. Email me for details on any of the above. << mushroom >> |"Is it a story about me?" asked the Water-rat.
