=========================

I have spent rather too long this afternoon trying to get Charm.sh's Soft Serve to work with multiple users. Seems like it doesn't want to nest directory scans, so I can't just point it at a folder full of users in /var (with each user's repos under their named folders). I had it working a year or two ago, on a different server that I've since scrapped, but come to think of it that might have been single-user. This is solely for my wife and I in-home, so Gitea or Forgejo would be complete overkill.

We've been working on reorganizing our apartment lately; the landlord had a whole bunch of renovations done to the building this summer (new windows, repainting, etc.) and everything got shoved wherever it would be out of the way of the workers. So now that they're done, we're having to put everything back, and it's a good opportunity to go through everything and get rid of the clutter. Hopefully when we're finally done there'll be room for a proper project area.

I may just redo the office, though. I've been wanting to make some French cleat panels for the walls since we first moved in, but Quarantine put the kibosh on that. And if I get a 3d printer (which I've been meaning to anyway) I can custom-print units for all the fiddly parts and tools I've had to keep in storage. It's a good way to hang other things too, like swords, guitars, and even monitors. A completely modular office layout with cleat panels is the dream, to be honest. Heck, I could even make a new desk surface or two which mount to the cleats and have fold-down legs for stability.

I've been wanting to do this for ages, really.
